WELCOME TO WATERGO FARM
The Pott Family have been farming locally for 3 generations and Grandad started up his own farm in 1963 after moving from local Staffordshire.
In September 1984 the family bought the 34 acre field where Watergo Farm now sits. The land was used to grow cereal crops to feed the animals on the farm which extends to over 500 acres today.
Over the years the farm has seen dairy and beef cows, pigs, sheep and poultry. One day it was decided around the kitchen table (all farming matters are discussed here) that free range eggs are where we want to move towards.
So this field was grassed down to make way for the hens in 2007 and after gaining planning permission to build a shed for them in February 2008, the first flock of 12,000 birds arrived and now can roam around the grass field or pop inside the shed whenever they feel like it.
What We Offer
Fresh Eggs
With having a large amount of hens on the farm, all hopefully laying an egg each and every day, we have a good source of super fresh eggs to choose from. Most of the eggs we produce are sent off farm twice a week to supply supermarkets so no eggs on the farm are over 4 days old. Pop along and try out our egg vending machine! Buy your eggs easier than ever from our new self service machine.
